Litigation - Legal Secretary

The ByrneWallace LLP Dispute Resolution and Investigations team is one of the largest dispute resolution and investigation teams in Ireland. If you are a Legal Secretary with the following experience, we would like to hear from you:

  • Minimum of 1 years' legal secretarial experience in a professional legal environment is essential.
  • Good standard of Leaving Certificate.
  • Strong keyboard skills, with typing skills. Fast accurate Digital Dictation. Previous experience with Bighand is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word- Excellent Microsoft Outlook - Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. (2007 Applications)

Reporting to a supervising Solicitor, the Legal Secretary will have the following key responsibilities: 

  • Case Management System as well as document management system. 
  • Billing.
  • Collating hard copy and electronic briefs to Counsel.
  • Formatting pleadings and Court documents.
  • Produce quality work fast and efficiently.
  • Document Management System- open new files and maintain existing files.
  • Draft and redraft documentation. 
  • Deal with solicitors on a proactive basis- communicating any problems which may arise and suggesting solutions to overcome them where suitable.
  • Manage & organise solicitors with all aspects of their diaries.
  • Take telephone messages and manage client relationships.
  • Filing & general administrative support, to include archiving.
