Litigation - Solicitor/Associate

The ByrneWallace LLP Dispute Resolution and Investigations team is one of the largest dispute resolution and investigation teams in Ireland. We advise a broad range of private, semi-state and public sector clients on strategically important and organisationally critical mandates. We are market leaders for contentious public sector advices and mandates.

Our work involves strategic mandates for the public sector, as well as property and procurement litigation, corporate disputes, intellectual property litigation, financial services disputes, data breaches and regulatory investigations, corporate crime and judicial review. We regularly act in high-profile, high-value litigation in the Commercial Court of the High Court on behalf of private clients.

If you have 1-6 years relevant PQE from a top or mid-tier law firm, or you have an interesting in-house role, or if you’re returning to Ireland then we’d love to hear from you.

We are looking for agile and adaptable candidates that have both contentious and advisory experience who can handle working a varied and/or complex workload at Solicitor and Associate level. Candidates should also have a strong academic track record.  

Some of the following experience in particular would be beneficial:

  • Managing litigation caseload in all courts with an emphasis on the superior courts to include drafting pleadings, liaising with counsel (where applicable) and management of case files to conclusion.
  • Advising and drafting in regulatory matters for clients.
  • Experience in investigations.
  • Interpreting, analysing and advising clients on relevant case law and legislation.
  • Management of the client relationship.
  • Working with senior department members on a variety of matters.
  • Advising clients on ADR options, and participating in mediations and arbitrations.
  • Advising clients on how to resolve disputes effectively.
