Gráinne is a Partner in the ByrneWallace LLP Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team with over 10 years’ experience of acting for a broad range of public and private sector clients in high value and complex litigation claims across all Court jurisdictions including the High Court, the Commercial Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. She is highly experienced at dealing with urgent ex-parte and injunction applications to the High Court. 

Gráinne advises clients across a wide range of practice areas including: property litigation; public procurement litigation; contentious construction disputes; banking disputes; defamation & social media litigation; corporate disputes; professional negligence actions; and environmental & planning law.  

Gráinne also acts for clients in other dispute resolution fora including arbitration, mediation and independent expert review process.  

Experience

  • Acting for public and private sector clients in title disputes, adverse possession and actions in trespass.
  • Advises commercial landlords on a wide range of commercial landlord and tenant matters including forfeiture and breach of covenant.  
  • Acting for a large developer in a complex, multi-party High Court litigation in relation to claims of pyrite presence in the sub-floor of houses in a high-end housing estate. 
  • Acting for public bodies (including Kildare County Council and the State Health Agency) in defence of public procurement challenges (Commercial Court) issued under the Remedies Regulations brought by unsuccessful tenderers including advising on discovery, redaction protocols and lawyer only confidentiality rings.
