Assistant Manager - Tax

The Role:
Due to the strong growth experienced in recent years, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to work in our tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven candidate to join a highly-regarded and growing tax team. The position offers excellent prospects for progression and on-going career development. This role will involve providing support to Associates, Senior Associates and Partners on tax compliance and tax advisory matters, and liaising with Irish and international clients.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualification as a Chartered Accountant/Chartered Tax Advisor (or similar accounting/tax/legal qualification), preferably with some experience in VAT (though not essential);
- Experience in providing tax compliance and/or tax consultancy services;
- Confidence in dealing with people (including clients), excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
- Self-starter with ability to use initiative and to prioritise with excellent time management skills.
Main responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Associates/Senior Associates/Partners of the firm to manage relationships with new and existing clients.
- Working on tax compliance and consultancy assignments for corporate clients.
- Answering tax queries that come in from clients, and responding to and dealing with internal and external technical queries within an agreed time frame.
- Liaising with Revenue on behalf of clients and responding to Revenue interventions.
- Undertaking technical tax research to answer client queries.
- Ensuring high quality and efficient service delivery on all client projects.
- Responsible for billing and collection of funds from clients.
- In time, developing and delivering/facilitating seminars and webinars.
- Assisting on new proposals and identifying business development opportunities.
