ByrneWallace LLP Corporate team are hosting a seminar to discuss the recent developments of relevance to those involved in M&A, Private Equity and Venture Capital transactions on Wednesday, 8 March.
At this event, hosted by Managing Partner and Head of Corporate Feargal Brennan, we will be joined by the Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Dara Calleary TD, who will provide an update on the Screening of Third Country Transactions Bill (the "Bill").
Based on European regulation the Bill will create, for the first time, a screening mechanism for investment into Ireland. It is also being designed to create a new framework of governmental oversight and will empower the Minister to assess, investigate, authorise, condition or prohibit foreign investments based on a range of security and public order criteria.
We are also pleased to be joined by John Sweeney, CEO, Health Care Informed, Ireland, leading healthcare quality and safety consultancy. John will discuss the operational and diligence assessment of healthcare companies from an investor perspective and share his experiences and insights in this regard.
