ByrneWallace renews its support with the Hibernian Law Journal

Tuesday, 04 September 2018

ByrneWallace has continued our long standing support of the Hibernian Law Review with the appointment of trainee solicitor Kelly Mackey to the Editorial Committee. In this role Kelly will be involved in ensuring that the quality and scope of the content in the 18th Edition of the Hibernian Law Journal, due to be published in July 2019, meets the excellent standards of previous years.

Established in 1999, the Hibernian Law Journal aims to promote an increased awareness of the law and its related disciplines among practising and academic lawyers alike, while also encouraging increased scholarship by members of the legal community. In addition to the Journal, Kelly will also be involved in organising the Hibernian Law Journal’s Annual Lecture and the award of the Hibernian Law Medals.

Commenting on the appointment, Sandra Masterson Power, Head of ByrneWallace Knowledge, Learning & Development said, ”ByrneWallace understands the important role junior lawyers play in ensuring the legal profession delivers a high standard of expertise and service to the market. As a firm, we are committed to the on-going development of rising legal talent and invest heavily in recruitment, training and development to ensure we attract and develop the best people to provide the very best legal service and expertise. Our training and development programme ensures that our lawyers are technically expert and have the industry knowledge and commercial skills necessary to deliver an excellent service to our clients.  We have long admired the work undertaken by Hibernian Law  and are delighted to renew our support with the appointment of Kelly to the Editorial Committee.”

In line with recruiting and developing young talent, ByrneWallace will launch its 2018 Trainee Solicitor Programme in September. For further information on the programme, visit www.byrnewallace.com/trainees
