ByrneWallace take part in the 35th Ring of Kerry Cycle

Friday, 06 July 2018

On Saturday, 7 July, ByrneWallace will take part in the 35th Ring of Kerry Cycle.

With over 10,000 participants, Ireland’s largest one-day charity event involves a 175-kilometre cycle. To date over €15 million has been raised and funds have contributed towards new hospital extensions, special needs facilities, care for the elderly, suicide prevention, sea and mountain rescue, cancer, kidney and end of life support.

This is the second consecutive year that ByrneWallace has participated in The Ring of Kerry Cycle, and is delighted to see this event go from strength to strength. As a firm, ByrneWallace places a strong emphasis on encouraging sport and wellness in the workplace, and have developed a Well-Being Programme offering employees onsite access to fitness classes, workshops and talks on mindfulness, nutrition and health. Taking part in this Cycle, enables employees to combine their interest in fitness, alongside meeting their industry peers in a social setting.

These events are also an opportunity for staff to get involved and support community-based projects and initiatives. ByrneWallace has a well-established Corporate Social Responsibility programme which is based on a number of elements, including pro bono work, local involvement and volunteerism. The firm supports a wide variety of organisations and charities which work in many different sectors and with many different social issues. Many of the team are active participants in these projects, and this creates effective community initiatives and helps to cement a sense of collegiality and team spirit.
