Wednesday, 31 July 2019

ByrneWallace is pleased to announce that the firm has advised on this year’s Finance Dublin Deal of the Year - Acquisition, Mid-Market in relation to the acquisition by Trilogy Technologies Group of Zinopy Security.  Trilogy is now at the forefront of managed IT and security services in Ireland.

This is the third consecutive year that ByrneWallace has been recognised as advising one of Ireland’s Deals of the Year. In 2017 and 2018, the firm advised on the Deal of the Year in a loans and financing category.

Presented annually, the Finance Dublin Deals of the Year Awards recognise the best in class Irish corporate finance transactions and the leading deal makers and professional services firms that advised upon them. This year, over 211 deals were nominated across five award categories – Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A); Debt Capital Markets; Equity Capital Markets; Loans & Financing, and Financial Services.

Trilogy Technologies Group is one of Ireland’s leading independent ICT Managed Services providers with offices in Dublin and London. The acquisition of Zinopy, a specialist provider of IT cybersecurity and workspace virtualisation solutions, will enable Trilogy to become a full service provider offering virtualisation and cloud computing, IT security and risk management, mobility, and professional, managed and consulting services.

The ByrneWallace team who advised Trilogy Technologies Group on this transaction included lawyers from our Corporate, Banking & Finance, Tax, Employment and Property teams - Managing Partner Feargal Brennan, Senior Associate Jonathan Lynch (Corporate), Senior Associate Zelda Deasy (Corporate), Partner Eileen Prendergast and Solicitor Ann Marie Pilkington (Banking & Finance), Partner Elaine Kelly (Employment), Solicitor Kenny McArdle (Property), Head of Tax Anthony Smyth (Tax), and Head of Tax Compliance's services John Long (Tax).

ByrneWallace was also honoured by Finance Dublin for advising on 12 other transactions which were shortlisted for Deal of the Year under multiple categories including M&A, Debt Capital Markets and Loans & Financing.

Earlier this year ByrneWallace was also ranked as one of Ireland's top three merger and acquisitions (M&A) legal advisers in the Experian MarketIQ UK and Republic of Ireland M&A Review Q1 2019.
