ByrneWallace to host seminar with Ibec examining GDPR 6 months on - Lessons learned and challenges to date
Monday, 19 November 2018ByrneWallace is pleased to host, in partnership with Ibec, a GDPR seminar entitled "GDPR - 6 months on" on Tuesday, 20 November 2018 from 8:30am - 10:30am.
This seminar will examine, with the benefit of six months’ hindsight, what the issues and pitfalls have been and what lessons have been learned.
Speakers will include:
- Brendan Gavin, corporate partner ByrneWallace and Michael Brophy, CEO and Head of Information Security, of Certification Europe who will address the impact of GDPR since implementation including:
- Increased data access requests and breach notifications;
- Questions on practical scope and territorial scope;
- Contractual and liability issues;
- Data transfer mechanisms and likely impact of Brexit;
- How to approach cookie notifications; and
- Status of e-Privacy Regulation
