New Head of Corporate appointed at ByrneWallaceWednesday, 12 September 2018
Business law firm ByrneWallace is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Keenan as the firm's Head of Corporate.
Neil takes over this role from Feargal Brennan, who was appointed the firm’s Managing Partner in June 2018, and who had previously led the corporate division since 2011.
With over twenty five years’ experience as a corporate lawyer, Neil has advised on many significant and complex transactions both of a domestic and international dimension. His expertise encompasses mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, corporate re-organisations and corporate governance. Neil has particular experience and capability in the green energy sector as well as having advised many clients in the technology, medical devices and healthcare sectors.
Neil has advised on many large and complex transactions. He is currently acting for Mainstream Renewable Power on a number of ongoing transactions, and has acted for Mainstream on the Irish corporate legal aspects of the sale of Neart na Gaoithe Offshore wind to French utility EDF. This offshore wind farm project, when completed, will generate enough electricity to power a city the size of Edinburgh. Neil also recently acted for nursing home group Brindley Healthcare on the corporate aspects of a €25million funding facility from Ulster Bank, and on the acquisition of the Ashley Lodge nursing home in County Kildare. Neil is the Vice Chair of the Business Law Committee of the Law Society of Ireland.
