ByrneWallace LLP advised the partners in accountancy and business advisory firm Baker Tilly Ireland, on its recent acquisition by Azets, providers of SME accountancy and business advisory support in the UK and internationally. The business has immediately rebranded as Azets Ireland.
Neil Hughes, CEO of Azets Ireland emphasised that the firm’s focus will continue to be on owner managed and entrepreneurial enterprises with Azets Ireland well positioned to take advantage of the growth opportunities in the SME sector due to the investment by Azets and being part of this growing international service company.
Azets Ireland now has a team of about 100 people including 11 partners and about 2,000 clients. This investment in Ireland marks Azets’ entry into the Irish market and it is planning further expansion in Ireland, as part of its ambitious growth strategy.
